Philips OLED804 / OLED854 TVs

Philips' OLED 804 and OLED 854 TVs are the top of the company's 2019 TV lineup, announced in January 2019. Both TVs feature 55" and 65" 4K WRGB OLED panels (made by LG Display), Philips' 3-gen P5 Perfect Picture Engine, Ambilight on three sides, HLG and HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

The Philips 804 OLED TV and the 854 OLED TVs are both based on Android OS (v9) with a built-in Google Assistant (the TVs are also certified as "Works with Alexa" so can be controlled via an Amazon Echo speaker). Philips says that the new display engine (3-gen P5 processor) improves noise reduction and contrast. The OLED panels themselves have a maximum brightness of 1000 nits. The 2.1 50-watt sound system supports Dolby Atoms.

Panasonic GZ2000

Panasonic's GZ2000 is the company's flagship TV for 2019, with what the company says is extremely high image quality and color accuracy. The GZ2000 will be available in 55" and 65" and will feature HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support, a powerful new display processor, HLG support, Dolby Atmos audio, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

Panasonic says that that GZ2000 boasts a "bespoke Professional Edition 4K OLED panel exclusively customized by Panasonic R&D engineers". The company also says that the TV benefits from world's first built-in upward-firing speakers capable of delivering Dolby Atmos as part of a total audio system with a Jeno engine and tuned by Technics.

Sony A9G

Sony's A9G is the company's flagship OLED TV for 2019. Available in 55", 65" and 77", the A9G offers "consumer reference-quality image" and features Sony's X1 Ultimate Picture Processor, Pixel Contrast Booster and an automated calibration mode (including a dedicated mode for Netflix).

LG Signature OLED TV R

LG's OLED TV R (model 65R9) is the world's first rollable OLED TV, announced in early 2019. The TV can roll up into its base, and has three viewing options - full view, line view (where only a part of the screen is showing, and then the display can display six different options, including weather, clock and a home dashboard) and zero view, in which the display is entirely in the base.
